Product Description
The RPLIDAR A3M1 is a next-generation, cost-effective 2D 360° laser scanner designed for high-performance indoor and outdoor mapping applications. Capable of capturing up to 16,000 samples per second, it offers enhanced accuracy and fast mapping capabilities with a ranging distance of up to 25 meters. Powered by SLAMTEC’s patented OPTMAG technology, it overcomes the lifespan limitations of traditional LIDAR systems, ensuring stable long-term operation.
The A3M1 features two operating modes: Enhanced Mode, optimized for maximum range and performance in indoor environments, and Outdoor Mode, designed to resist daylight interference for reliable operation under direct sunlight. It performs full 360° scans using a clockwise-rotating laser triangulation system, generating high-resolution 2D point cloud data for mapping, localization, and environment modelling.
With a typical scan rate of 10 Hz (adjustable from 5 to 15 Hz) and an angular resolution of 0.225°, the A3M1 adapts scanning precision dynamically based on its rotation speed. Compact at only 4 cm thick, it is ideal for integration into service robots and consumer-grade autonomous systems. Compliant with IEC-60825 Class 1 eye-safety standards, and requiring a simple power interface, the RPLIDAR A3M1 offers a reliable, efficient, and scalable solution for a wide range of robotics applications.
