The RPLIDAR S2 is a next-generation, cost-effective 2D 360-degree laser scanner developed by SLAMTEC. Designed for high-performance and durability, it can capture up to 32,000 laser ranging samples per second at high rotational speeds. Unlike traditional LIDAR systems, the RPLIDAR S2 overcomes limitations in lifespan, ensuring long-term stable operation.

With a maximum ranging radius of up to 30 meters, the RPLIDAR S2 is ideal for demanding robotic navigation applications in commercial environments such as hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, and office buildings. Enhanced internal optical design and measurement systems allow for a high sample rate, enabling detailed environmental data collection for improved mapping and navigation.

Built to withstand challenging conditions, the RPLIDAR S2 features an IP65-rated protective enclosure that shields its internal mechanism from external interference, ensuring reliable operation in industrial settings. It uses a low-power, modulated-pulse infrared laser as its light source and complies with Class 1 Laser Safety Standards, making it safe for human eyes.
